Our First Home

We did it! We bought our first home. We decided to take the plunge with the interest rates doing as good as they are. We decided at the beginning of this year to start looking and see what was out there. We looked at a half of a dozen, put offers on several others, and then we found this one. It's such a great starter home.

It's great because we have people rent out our basement so that we don't pay all of our mortgage. I'm grateful that Blaine is pretty handy so that he can help us keep things up.

Our kitchen has tons of cupboards and storage space. The appliances are all brand new and I love having it at the front of the house with such a big window for light and so I can watch outside while I cook and while we eat.

Our livingroom is on the smallish side but it's cozy and we love it. We can't wait to add some color to the walls and get a few more decorations and pictures so that we cna really make it our own.

We want to paint the walls the green color of the blanket that's on the couch and in the rug.

The master bedroom is so roomy! It's my favorite room in the house. The window makes it so bright and I have a large closet with an awesome organizer in the middle for shoes and pants and things.

The extra bedroom is for junk right now.

Our back yard is huge. This picture makes it seem even bigger but it is very large. We have a lot of work ahead of us this spring to get lawn planted but Little Blaine loves to help Dad dig in the dirt and suck on rocks and play in his little car.

We feel truly blessed to have such a wonderful home.
