Merry Christmas and Happy New Year

We hope that you all had a very Merry Christmas and that the holidays found everything well at your house. We feel very blessed this season and had a wonderful Christmas! We enjoyed our annual Fowden-Bowman Christmas Eve party at Tiffany's new house. We had fun playing Bunco and exchanging White Elephant gifts. We only made it through half a Bunco game because we're all getting too old for late night parties...lol.
Christmas day we had breakfast at Mom's house and spent the day visiting family and enjoying the day with everyone. We had a lot of fun giving gifts and we're very grateful for all that was given to us. One of Blaine's favorite gifts was Guitar Hero Metallica which he had to play Christmas Eve night at 1:00am before we went to bed. I'm excited to get my new ClearPlay DVD player put together and watch all of the movies that I've been waiting to see.
This year the Christmas Story has had a whole new meaning for me. We've all heard it a hundred times and can all repeat it by heart and I'm no exception. However, this year being pregnant and experiencing the pain that comes with carrying a child, as I listened to the story read by the Mormon Tabernacle Choir on TV one night, I gained a whole new perspective and appreciation for Mary. Although I still cannot image carrying the Christ child, I feel very blessed and honored that Heavenly Father has entrusted me to carry one of his beloved children of God. I cannot imagine carrying a child in Mary's day, riding a donkey and being so great with child and uncomfortable. I cannot imagine giving birth without the luxuries of today and the securities of modern-day medicine, doctors, and hospitals. I have a testimony of the Birth of the Savior. I know that Mary was blessed and watched over on that special night that changed the world forever. I'm so grateful that I have been able to experience becoming a mother and I know that our Father in Heaven is watching over me and Blaine at this special time in our lives.

These pictures were taken by my friend Kristen. She did an awesome job and we had a lot of fun! Blaine doesn't like posing for fake pictures but he was a good support through it all and we took some fun ones too that show our personality and excitement for our baby! :)

Only during pregnancy will I pose like this for a picture:)
I am married to one good looking skinny, tall man!
I hope our little boy gets his dad's good looks and cute smile.
