So we've made it 17 weeks and we're almost to the halfway mark! I'm still sick a lot of the time --feeling nauseous most of the day, headaches off and on, occasional throwing up, among other little things here and there. I used to be the deepest sleeper, but now I'm lucky if I make it through a whole night asleep. I'm super tired throughout the day and take a nap most days.
I'm back in school now too. But the good news is that these are the last classes that I have to take and then in January I will be student teaching! I'm finally seeing light at the end of the tunnel and I can't wait to finish such a big goal! This year I've had to really lighten up my back pack as well as pack a lot more snacks so that I can eat every hour or so.
I got a special birthday present yesterday....I felt the baby move!!! It was so exciting. It felt a little like a gold fish swimming around in my belly but it was so neat! If I have to be sick for something, this is the best thing that I could be sick for!!! The baby is just over 5 inches long and weighs about 5 ounces now. My next appointment is next week and we'll get to hear the heartbeat again. This has become one of the most reassuring things in the world.
I know you are all dying to know what the baby is---boy or girl----and so are we, but we don't get to find out until week 21, which will be around October 20-something. Don't worry I'll let you all know and post pictures of my belly then as well. I'm starting to show now and I have a few really cute maternity tops and the most comfortable maternity pants in the world! It's really fun to watch people look at me, look at my belly, and look at my face again as they try to decide if I am just gaining weight or actually pregnant:)
Well sorry to babble on...if any of this doesn't make sense then I won't be surprised because I have had a hard time articulating what I want to say and keeping things straight lately. (I blame it on the baby:)

Yay! Don't you just love feeling your baby move? I think it's the best thing in the world. I'm sorry you're still sick, but glad you're starting to feel better. It shouldn't be long now before you don't feel nauseous any more. I'm so excited for you to find out what you're having!
