Fishing Trip Part 2

Here's one more pic of the other fish that I caught. I also caught one more that was little bit smaller that I thought I was brave enough to hold, but as soon as Blaine went to hand it to me, it started flopping around, fell out of Blaine's hand and flopped all around me on the boat floor! I was screeching and Blaine was laughing! It was pretty funny! Blaine was just waiting for me to freak out and fall into the pond!

After it got dark we rowed back to shore and loaded up the boat. We had the boat loaded but there were fish jumping all over the place out on the pond. Blaine couldn't resist and baited up his hook with a worm and a bubble and threw it out. While we were just waiting and watching his pole, we had the flashlight and were looking around the shore of the water. We found a lot of little baby fish swimming around and then I spotted a crawdad! We didn't know they even lived in Salem Pond! Blaine and his friend have been wanting to catch crawdads and Blaine has even built a crawdad trap to take to the lake later this week.

Blaine didn't dare touch them at first and so he scooped them up in his pail! The pictures aren't the best because it was so dark outside. Crawdads are so nasty looking and creep me out a little bit!

Finally Blaine dared to pick one up. As it stretched out its pinchers, Blaine jumped, and I screamed! I was laughing so hard. Each time he would pick it up and flinch, I would scream. It was just too funny! We had the best time ever!

What a great day for finding things at Salem Pond!
