Best Fishing Trip Yet

Blaine has been fishing everyday this week so that he could get all of the fishing in as possible before he heads to summer camp. I went with him to spend some time with him and see if there was a chance that I could catch a fish. Up until yesterday, every time that I had gone fishing with Blaine he hadn't caught a thing! We'd go to the same places at the same time that he had caught fish just the day before and still catch nothing. But luckily that all changed! Blaine had just baited my hook with a big, juicy fish. I cast it out there and before Blaine could pick up his fishing pole, I had one on the line! It was so exciting. It was a little Blue Gill! I didn't dare hold it so he held it for me and I took a picture of it with my phone because I forgot my camera. (Didn't think I would need it and of course the time I catch fish, I didn't have it!) Anyways, he put the fish back in the water, baited my hook again, I casted out a couple more times, and had another one on! And then it happened all over again! I caught 3 fish in about 15 minutes!!! It was the best!

I got brave enough to hold one of the fish that Blaine caught. It's a large mouth bass. (I'm in scroungy clothes and have no makeup on because I worked all day and had the flu all weekend:)

The first Blue Gill that Blaine has caught out of Salem Pond this season and with a spinner at that! We had so much fun! (read more in the next post)
