Bringing Baby Home

Here's my sweet boy just before we came home. His bruises had really gone down and he was so cute in that hat:)
For the first few days, the rocking chair was my best friend. This is where we sat, read, ate, and slept. It was such a huge eye opener to have a new baby in our home. I couldn't imagine how we would ever get into a schedule. I wasn't even sure if I would ever sleep in my own bed again. Luckily after a few days we figured it out and started sleeping in our own beds...at least for a few hours at a time:)
He had to wear this little hat for a week or so to keep the stitches on the back of his head clean. He wore a white long sleeve onesie for the first few weeks of his life because none of his clothes fit him. They were all so big and hanging off of him. Besides, we were changing his diaper about 10-12 times a day and it was just so much easier to change him with just a onesie on.

The first few weeks were pretty hard. I had the best helper ever though, Blaine. He was such a trooper! He was so loving and helpful. He took care of everything for us--the laundry, the cooking, the cleaning, Everything!!! I'm so lucky to have such a great husband.
