While Blaine has been slaving away on the roof this past week and weekend, I've been at Mom's working on this flower bed. I wanted to take pictures of the before and after because it was so bad. This is the flower bed that has been neglected for a couple of years now and was the worst of them all. The other two flower beds were a breeze compared to this one.
I can't believe how dense the weeds were and how thick the grass had grown through it. It took forever to knock the dirt out of the grass roots and sort through everything. It was a lot of hard work and even gave me a heat rash. I know...poor me:)
It took me two days to get this far and I still have more to do. I need Blaine to help me dig up a couple of the rose bushes and rearrange them to make the flower bed more balanced out and easier to weed in between them. Then I will be able to plant flowers and spice it up a bit. I'll post a picture of the finished project as soon as I get too it.
